I used to think Jeter was a good player on a great team. I changed my mind during a series they actually lost - the ALCS in 2004. It seemed like Jeter, Bernie Williams, and Hideki Matsui were the only players who wouldn't go meekly in those last four games.
...not to mention 4 rings.
