Return of the Trilogy

For those of us a certain age, one set of movies comes to mind when we hear the word "trilogy," the Star Wars trilogy. If you're as big a fan as I am, you've already heard the original, un-fooled-around-with trilogy is coming to DVD in September.

I would praise George Lucas for coming to his senses, but he may simply see the re-release as one more way to milk his early success.

You're probably right about Lucas milking his early success. Over the years, Lucas has been notorious for his blatant commercialization of the Star Wars movies. But they are his creations, so I guess he can do with them as he pleases.

As for me, I'm happy with the re-release. I don't have the original trilogy on DVD yet. I guess I'll finally pick it up this fall.

Is the Star Wars Christmas Special included?

Hey, I saw that when it aired in 1978. Made Phantom Menace look like Citizen Kane.

I saw it too. Bea Arthur and Harvey Korman are important parts of the Star Wars Universe, let me tell you.
