Try Another Day

Looks like I'll have to wait until next Wednesday to see Casino Royale with some college friends, two of whom are expectant fathers. Such is life.

And so, having listed my favorite Bond songs and favorite Bond girls, I give you:

Favorite Bond Movies

4. The Spy Who Loved Me
3. Licence to Kill
2. Tomorrow Never Dies
1. Goldfinger

Where will Casino Royale rank, I wonder.

I'm probably not going to see it for another week or so. FWIW, it has an 8.1 rating on IMDB right now. That could change drastically over time, of course. Most of the reviews on Rottentomatoes.com are pretty positive.

My favorite Bonds, in no particular order:

From Russia with Love
You Only Live Twice
Live and Let Die
The Living Daylights
Goldfinger

Not the biggest Bond fan, mayself (I've only seen half a Connery movie and the Brosnan ones) but I very much liked Casino Royale. Great fun, and 007 seems to have an emotional life which I take it is not usual, and the movie is a lot more realistic than the ones I've seen. Bond bleeds in this one, and when a car flips onto its hood, it doesn't drive nearly as well as they did in one of the Brosnan movies.

I think it earned its 8 out of 10 on IMDB.

Gerald, Casino Royale would very well come in number 2 on your list.
