Is there any possibility this is going to be good?
Coming back years later, when Jones is practically the age of Sean Connery in III, doesn't bode well. Maybe it will play to that idea but I doubt it.

Looking at the work that Mr. Ford and Mr. Lucas have produced in the last ten years, I expect this to be very painful.

Man, I hope you guys are wrong. RAIDERS played in the dollar theater in Shreveport for over a year, and I saw it at least three or four times on the big screen.

It's still probably my favorite movie.

RAIDERS is no question my favorite movie, but I realize that was a long time ago.

Since they're going ahead with this, I hope for the very good, expect the mediocre. I do think that--since Indy started as a period character--you can watch any point in his life and not cringe as much as you would, say, at a fifty-year-old Axel Foley.

They should write a script that allows Indiana to be older. Instead of fighting Nazi's in the thirties, he can battle Stalanist commies in 1955.

Call me, Mr. Lucas. I'll do the screenplay. Cheap.

As I understand, several very good scripts were rejected by Lucas.

Perhaps the final is good, but I have my doubts.

While I don't know if I could say that Raiders is my fav, I do think it will stand the test of time and be considered a true classic.
