Jeff MacKay, who recurred on TV series such as
Baa Baa, Black Sheep,
Magnum P.I., and
JAG, died of liver failure last Friday. He was 59. His performances as Mac on Magnum and Corky on
Tales of the Gold Monkey were lovable, but I most appreciated his complicated portrayal of Master Chief Big Bud Roberts, an affable yet abusive drunk on JAG.

My all-time fav episode of Magnum was Did you see the sun rise?
It saw the original Mac killed.
